At Santa Fe Community School, we have received letters of glowing
praise from many of our students and parents. Some of them express gratitude
because we enabled them to realize their dream of becoming a musician, an actress, or a
professional dancer. Others thank us for saving them from the negative
influences of public school - the sex, the drugs, the peer pressure, the
feeling of powerlessness, the drudgery of traditional
methods of education. Due to our Home Study Program, students are able to learn each
subject at a pace and level that is appropriate for them. Our program is a
way for students or adults to earn a high school diploma without having to go
outside their home.

"Just a small
note about one of your former students, Juan I. De La Cruz. In August, Juan
will be starting his 3rd year at the college of Santa Fe. He completed his
2nd year with a G.P.A. of 3.9 (comservation Science major) and was named "The
Outstanding Sophomore in the Science Dept.". Thank you, once again, for giving
us the opportunity to home-school our son! God bless you." - Lois
Gutierrez-De La Cruz, NM
And continuing... "Dear SFCS: A brief update on a former student: Juan I. De Le Cruz. Juan graduated Cum Laude from The College of Santa Fe in May 2006. He received a B. S. in Conservation Science. Juan is presently employed and hopes to continue his education at a later date. Once again - Thank you & God bless you." - Lois De La Cruz

Another mother writes:
"I know he did more work than the average high
school student in a public school system and this counts more...than a bunch
of tedious and needless paper-pushing. I recommend home study for every
child!" -Alice Larson, TX
A 15 year-old student writes:
"...I find that being able to study at home
at my own pace, and in a low-stress atmosphere, dramatically increases my

A New Mexico parent wrote:
"We want to thank you for your continuous years of
excellent service to our family... Before we began schooling through SFCS, our
son was in fourth grade. He had problems in public school primarily because he
didn't fit in very well... It didn't take long to heal his bruised self-esteem.
Working through SFCS enabled us to continue his education in an organized
manner with no outside interference....
Our son is now a high school senior.
He has taken a few algebra and computer science courses at the APS Career
Enrichment Center. He participated in the "Supercomputer Challenge", (and) his
project placed his team in the top 12 in the entire state of New Mexico!
His team received an award from the U.S. Air Force, a Certificate of Appreciation
from the SPACE High School Project presented by Col. Peter J. Marchiando,
Commander of Phillips Labs.
Adam later applied for a position as an intern at the Intel Corporation...
through the Carrer Enrichment Center's Internship Program...and was awarded
(the internship).
Now as a high school senior, he spends a few hours each day providing
computer support service at the Intel Corporation...while also continuing
with his home studies. He hopes to attend TVI and eventually UNM...
and plans to major in computer science.
When he was very young and in public school, we were told by his teacher
that Adam would be a "C" student, at best! We consider our son a good example
of what can be accomplished through home schooling. And we consider
Santa Fe Community School an excellent home schooling facility."

A proud father sent the following:
"...we are going to Eugene, Oregon to watch Charli get her Ph.D diploma handed
to her in June. She is in Bosnia right now doing research for a book on chidren
of war crimes, for which the MacArthur Foundation gave her a grant of
$77,000. My bright little girl!" - Carey Carpenter
